Street Wize Accomplishments, Previous Projects, Programs and Services
Street Wize Foundation has had a working relationship with The Department of Health HIV/AIDS Administration through our sister organization Streetz Magazine since 2005. Streetz Magazine has made it possible for us to establish a level of trust and credibility in our DC youth community.  This has successfully enabled us to establish a HIV/AIDS awareness information pipeline to our youth in the District.  Our lists of productive and effective campaigns are:

*EFFI BARRY HIV/AIDS CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAM YEAR ONE – April – Sept 08
Street Wize was chosen to be a year one participant for this Capacity Building and Training course. It featured beneficial classes and numerous opportunities for our new organization to build our level of capacity and effectiveness to better serve our DC youth.

*"KNOW YOUR STATUS CAMPAIGN” – Jan 07
This program was approved and overseen by the director of HAA Marsha Martin.  This campaign was designed to target the urban youth community in the District to get tested and to know their status.  This campaign involved Streetz Magazine as a source for advertising and to provide information about testing and testing locations for the urban youth community in DC. We also provided prevention services for HAA where we distributed free condoms and AIDS/HIV testing information into the community to promote safe sex and awareness.

*CONSULTANT FOR HAA PLANNING COMMITTEE ADVISORY BOARD FOR
“KNOW YOUR STATUS CAMPAIGN” – Dec 06
Streetz Magazine provided consultation to the director of HAA Marsha Martin on how to create a campaign designed to reach the urban youth community in the District to encourage them to get tested and to know their status.

*DC DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH CONDOM DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM – July 06
Streetz Magazine provided prevention services for HAA. We distributed free condoms and AIDS/HIV testing information into the community to promote safe sex and awareness. We distributed 5,000 condoms in the DC area nightclubs, bars, lounges and concerts.

*“I AM MY SISTER’S KEEPER CAMPAIGN”- May 06
This program was approved and overseen by the director of HAA Lidia Watts.  This campaign was designed to target young African American women between the ages of 16 to 45 to decrease the high infection rate within this demographic.   The campaign involved Streetz Magazine as a source for advertising to promote the campaign to their desired demographic areas.
